So I've recently discovered that wide leg pants fit my body type best (wide hips). I've also discovered that I apparently just missed the wide leg fashion trend. All the wide leg pants I can find are on the clearance rack at places like Target and Old Navy, replaced by boot cut and flare style pants, which are horrible for my body type. Are there any places that are still currently still selling this style, or am I "sooo last season"?

TJ Maxx, Burlington Coat Factory, Stein Mart, etc. These places tend to sell "last season's" clothing, and at cheap prices.

I've checked out Burlington's (god I hate that place), and Ross, and they are inundated with flare and boot cut pants as well. I have yet to find any wide leg pants there. I'm not sure where the nearest TJ Maxx is around here. I found a pair of wide leg pants at a second hand shop, I may have to find more of those around here. It looks like I can still buy those styles online, but there's no way I'm buying pants without trying them on first.

The gap sells jeans that are called "long and lean" that they always carry. They are my favourite everyday jean. They are called that because they make you look long and lean apparantly.
They rock if you have hips/curves. You may want to try them. I live in them.

You can find them on thier site. I copied the important details.

details

Sits low on the waist.
Slightly relaxed through the hip and thigh.
Flared leg opening.

Wide leg pants aren't really out of style...well depends on the material and print. They are a classic type that you just have to match nicely with a shirt and heels.

But I'm with burlington is like one of hte worst places i have ever been too. I found some good ones at macy's, expensive cause you're looking $60 up for them. But then there is dillards and New York and Company.

I've noticed this too, and with great disappointment.
Now I am seeing lots of tight to your ankle pants, UGH!
I may not have minded those when I was younger, but now
I am wanting clothes to hide pounds the years have added.

Ugh, the skinny jeans are horrible for hips! I just had my second baby, the last thing I wanna do is show everyone my newly acquired baby weight, lol. Even my maternity pants are too tight on me, I went from a size 2 to a 6 within the past year I mean, a 6 doesn't sound too bad, but it's the way it's settled on me. It's ALL on my hips. All of it. It's ridiculous, I feel like a fat ass, literally.
